Last spring I got the itch to learn how to knit and haven't put my needles down since. My grandmother is a wonderful knitter, and so are a couple of my aunts but since they live in Illinois, Massachussetts, and Maine (I live in Florida), I learned from Debbie Stoller instead.
Stitch n Bitch did a great job teaching me the basics of knitting and after a frustrating experience knitting a scarf (which got downgraded to a potholder) with too-chunky yarn on too-small needles, I successfully popped out my first Ribbed for Her Pleasure scarf and mailed it to my friend Lisa who is currently studying abroad in Australia.
After a couple of Kittyville hats I eventually branched out to non-SnB projects, and even made up a few projects of my own. I've pretty much always got something (several somethings) on the needles these days and I look forward to the weekends and the knitting time they provide. Knitting has become one of my favorite and most productive hobbies.
At the moment, the only pattern I have to offer is an Illusion Knitting Pattern. Hopefully there will be more patterns to come soon, and maybe a gallery of my finished objects. Enjoy!
